WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This workshop targets all faculty and administrators of doctoral leadership education.

WHAT WILL ATTENDEES GAIN?
Attendees will:
* Increase their knowledge regarding what doctoral leadership programs exist and who is involved in those programs. (Camaraderie and possible collaborations increase solidarity in times of trouble)
* Synthesize knowledge of the field and how we are going about disseminating that knowledge (Knowing what we know can be fodder for addressing issues we face; Being able to access and contribute to that fodder can be empowering for doctoral faculty and leaders)
* Organize ourselves for the benefit of doctoral leadership education (Leadership can better ourselves and our students for education, research, and leadership)

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
In this half-day workshop, the DFLLC is proposing a pre-conference workshop (with a minimum of 12 attendees, and open to any number who arrive—given room restrictions, to be held at hotel/conference site) regarding the current status of doctoral programs. Building upon aspects offered at the ILA Atlanta Conference, this workshop will offer an extension of these topics, noting who are the players, what is known, and how are we extending and disseminating this knowledge. Further, we will gear our conversation toward an understanding of guided principles regarding doctoral leadership education and a capturing of this information for colleagues within and beyond ILA. Participants will brainstorm, pool, and synthesize main ideas. These exercises will lead to learning community objectives and action steps for upcoming—and for a broader conceptualization of how doctoral leadership education is working within the confines of and preparing students for a turbulent world.
