The transition from college to a fulltime career continues to be the subject of debates between the academy and business leaders. Namely, does the academy adequately prepare students for the world of work? Two (2) leadership researchers seek to better understand and address the barriers to students successfully negotiating this transition from two divergent perspectives. One perspective will address the importance of changing the mental modes of student scholars. The second perspective will examine value of interdisciplinary research inquiry in the development of critical workplace skills.
