Session Submission Type: Professional Development Workshop
Disseminating scientific information is essential for ensuring research findings are used to inform policy and practice. However, many researchers find it challenging to disseminate their work in a way that is accessible and understandable to a variety of audiences.
This workshop is designed to address this challenge by providing participants with the knowledge and skills they need to develop and implement effective dissemination strategies. The workshop will introduce different methods of disseminating scientific information including non-academic publications, introduction to data walks, scientific communication (how to speak about your research), finding the right charts etc, and monitoring & evaluation frameworks.
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
Understand the importance of disseminating scientific information
Identify different dissemination methods and choose the most appropriate methods for their audience
Develop and implement effective dissemination strategies
Evaluate the effectiveness of their dissemination efforts.
