This study employs a comparative case study approach to analyze the climate challenges faced by Barbados and Tuvalu, two Small Island Developing States (SIDS) located in the Caribbean and Oceania, respectively. The methodology involves a qualitative analysis of policy responses, environmental data, and socio-economic factors influencing each island’s approach to climate change adaptation and mitigation. By employing this methodology, the study aims to highlight the similarities and differences in the climate challenges and policy responses of Barbados and Tuvalu, contributing to a broader understanding of SIDS' resilience strategies in the face of climate change.
