The commercial cooperation between China and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) has achieved remarkable progress in recent decades, driven by complementary economic structures and mutual interests. China has become a key trading partner for many LAC countries, with growing exchanges in commodities, infrastructure, and investments. The Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has further strengthened ties, facilitating trade and connectivity. Despite these achievements, challenges such as trade imbalances and dependency on primary exports persist. Looking ahead, deepening cooperation in technology, green energy, and digital economy presents new opportunities. Enhanced policy coordination and diversified trade structures will be crucial for sustainable and balanced growth in China-LAC commercial relations.
