Abstract

In response to this year’s conference theme, the 2016 CRT Study Group will examine critical race theories and their use in literacy teacher education and how to accomplish the following:

Better prepare a homogeneous teaching force for culturally, linguistically, and racially different student populations;

Increase teacher diversity and crucial teacher education diversity; and

Hire diverse faculty and administrators in policy- and decision-making teams.
