Abstract

There is a growing body of research in the fields of education and neuroscience analyzing the relationship between music, language, and literacy. This symposium will present current findings on the specific musical skills that correlate with language and reading abilities in both children and adults. Results from the presented studies hope to inform future interventions that may consider using music as a way to promote language and literacy learning.
