This paper traces the language and literacy practices Latinx parents follow to maintain Spanish. Recent research unveils that Spanish forms part of a family's reality regardless of whether the literacy programming at their children’s school aligns with or deviates from a family’s biliteracy goals. This study documents Latinx parents’ reflections on their children’s bi/literacy practices. Drawing on interview methods, this study explores the implications of a school’s literacy policies on a family’s language policies.
