There are those that say Artificial Intelligence is humankind’s greatest invention. Others warn that it could be humankind’s last invention. How will it impact the literate world, and more so, the teaching of literacy? Dr. Elfrieda H. Hiebert, Text Project, will deliver a presentation on “Terminology, Texts, and Teachers in an AI World: Possibilities and Problems,” which draws from the extensive work and resources of the Text Project while pondering the emerging impact of AI. Dr. Hiebert’s presentation will be followed by Reading Hall of Fame members hosting round table discussions on AI and other current literacy topics. All LRA members wishing to converse with these RHF members on this variety of topics are welcome.
