Abstract

This presentation continues discussions from our 2024 LRA presentation focused on the creation of teacher identity by pre-service teachers and how certain dispositions may evolve over time. Building upon data collected during the pre-service teachers’ first semester observing secondary English classrooms, extending into their student teaching placements, and following them into the fall as first-year teachers, this presentation discusses how pre-service & early career teachers develop their understandings of their teacher identities.
