This study explored how a fourth-grade teacher implemented culturally relevant teaching and reading comprehension strategies after receiving individualized training. Using a qualitative comparative case study, the researcher examined how the training influenced the teacher’s confidence, self-efficacy, and autonomy in the classroom. Findings indicated that the teacher developed stronger cultural competencies, broadened her view of family involvement, and fostered critical consciousness in students. The study underscores the impact of targeted training on teaching effectiveness.
