This research project aims to enhance VET students' literacy skills through collaboration among teachers, reading coaches, and literacy experts. The study employs Design Based Research, involving a literature review, document analysis, and ethnographic methods. Key findings highlight the need for literacy-focused teaching in VET, emphasizing genre-specific texts and scaffolding. The intervention phase includes new literacy teaching methods to engage students in reading, writing, and using subject-specific language, promoting equality and improving career opportunities.
