This study explores the role of AI-driven technologies in language education, and focuses on how they provide scaffolding, personalized feedback, and adaptive learning experiences. Grounded in Vygotsky's sociocultural theory, the review examines AI tools like Grammarly and ChatGPT, assessing their impact on language learners' development and engagement. Key challenges, including AI dependency and algorithmic bias, are also discussed. The study aims to inform educators, policymakers, and developers on creating effective, equitable AI-based language learning solutions.
