We, two transnational teacher educators of African and Asian descent, discuss our longitudinal research on the development of our critical intercultural racial literacies. Engaging in interviews with a late teacher educator, Dr. Era South (pseudonym), from the Civil Rights era, we document our dialogic reflexive narratives to articulate our historical understandings, transformations, and commitments to the greater good. Our study illustrates how deep, authentic relationships with the Other across differences can be learned and realized.
