Using reflective practices, this Self-Study Community of Practice (SSCoP), including seven white, female teacher educators located across five states, explores the domains of ally characteristics (Hinger et al., 2023) in dialogic, multimodal discussions. The study highlights the interconnectedness of racial literacy and allyship, emphasizing the nonlinear nature of this work. Findings reveal participants’ engagement in anti-racist actions and the ongoing effort needed to create sustainable, impactful change and support marginalized groups in literacy education.
