Abstract

This research shares how a holistic rubric supports preservice and inservice teachers in identifying diverse children’s literature and specifically addresses how the rubric can support teachers in utilizing diverse immigration literature with students. This presentation will include a description of the rubric, share the developing thematic analysis of children’s literature focused on immigration across rubric categories, and articulate preliminary implications found in the data.
