This paper unpacks the linguistic journeys of Spanish speakers learning about Black Language and how this led to Black-Latine solidarity. Employing testimonios (Huber, 2008), students leverage their own racialized linguistic experiences as Spanish speakers to further understand the anti-Black linguistic racism that Black Language speakers face. The purpose of this paper is to elucidate the work of exploring Latine positionality in the process of building cross-solidarity through language.
