This study examines restorying, reframing narratives from marginalized groups, as activism and resistance against the dehumanization of Asian/Americans. Using Asian Critical Race Theory, critical content analysis, we examined picture books and graphic novels exploring silence, trauma, and healing. Findings include how restorying pushes against harmful stereotypes, fosters intergenerational healing and reconnection to family. This paper highlights restorying as a tool in challenging the dehumanizing narrative around immigrants and refugees in the U.S.
