Curricula can influence teachers’ pedagogy and support multilingual learners’ content-area knowledge and language. However, dual language bilingual education (DLBE) programs lack non-English curricula and research about it. Few studies have also examined translations of curricula. Stemming from a design-based study including DLBE educator interviews about curricula and translations and based on literature from education and Translation Studies fields, we created a conceptual framework of considerations for translation of content-area curricula for bilingual education.
