In this roundtable discussion, I will present preliminary findings from my work with a group of high school English teachers as they consider their identities as writers and how these identities intersect with their identities as teachers of writers. This collaborative inquiry examines work within the teachers’ professional learning community and creates space for the teachers and the researcher to consider tensions that arise while enacting these identities within the constraints of a school system.
