Seeking Solidaridad: Intergenerational Community Answerability through Collective Inquiry and Storytelling

Wed, December 3, 10:15 to 11:45am, Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino, Floor: Mezzanine Floor, Melrose 2

Abstract

This study investigates how faculty in an urban-serving university in the midwest forge relationships with/between communities and schools by foregrounding storytelling, authentic collaboration, and reciprocity. Latinx community stakeholders and researchers interrogated institutional solidarity and community answerability through co-designed research, drawing from critical qualitative methods and intergenerational inquiry to collectively investigate relationships and resonances across cultural communities and geographic places.
