Session Submission Type: Alternative Format Session
This alternative session explores the successes and challenges of implementing four NPD-funded projects focused on caregiver engagement activities: (a) two in-person and online literacy programs for multilingual learners’ (MLs) caregivers meant to support multilingual family literacy practices, (b) a caregiver engagement project focused on MLs’ literacy led by pre-service teachers who are bilingual paraprofessionals; c) a project to support Spanish-speaking caregivers to engage in Spanish literature literacy activities in the home that promote school achievement.
