The Durability of Post-Civil War Peace Settlements: Do Rewards Work?

Brief Overview

This project evaluates the effects of economic sanctions on peace durations. I argue that sanction-lifting eliminates the initial economic causes of conflict, low cost of rebellion and grievances, and thus decreases the risk of conflict-recurrence.
