Where to Vote? Changing Polling Place Location as a Barrier to Voting

Brief Overview

Does moving the location of polling places suppress voter turnout? I argue that changing a polling place location increases barriers to voting by creating search costs for voters. These increased costs are reflected in lower voter turnout.
