Do People Find Hope from Anti-corruption Campaigns? Evidence from China

Brief Overview

By using a Chinese anti-corruption program as a natural experiment and taking advantage of two national panel surveys, I find that these campaigns can increase people's trust in local government officials and reduce public concern about corruption.
