Public Attitudes Toward Cybersecurity Threats

Brief Overview

We use a conjoint experiment to explore Americans’ perceptions toward cyberattacks. We vary attributes related to the aggressor, target, and damage caused by the effect to see how these factors shape categorization of the severity of an event.
