Understanding Racial Bias Among Jurors

Brief Overview

We conduct an experiment that subtly manipulates the race of a defendant in a criminal trial. Respondents explain their reasoning over defendant guilt, then we leverage work on measuring bias in text to study its influence on juror decision making.
