Simulating Attention Allocation in Online News Communities

Brief Overview

We examine attention allocation to news sources on Reddit, showing that overall performance is unequal among sources. We also test a model used to describe news web traffic in prior work, which fails to capture the day-to-day volatility of Reddit.
