Courtroom as a showcase: Emotional Intensity of Court Trial in China

Brief Overview

Using courtroom video data in China, we identify cues of emotion changes (such as vocal pitch and pauses) of judges in the trial process. We argue judges will show greater emotion intensity in the cases which attract the most public attention.
