Are Latinos Becoming White? The Role of Whiteness and White Identity in Shaping Latino Political and Policy Preferences in the 21st Century

Brief Overview

We investigate whether and to what degree self-identification as white is politically meaningful among US Latinos. We find that it is a significant predictor of political ideology, vote choice, and policy preferences towards immigration.
