Hurting or Healing? Conflict Exposure, PTSD, and Public Support for Truth Commissions

Brief Overview

We test whether the association between conflict exposure and public support for truth commissions is moderated or mediated by PTSD symptoms. Using comparative survey data across three post-conflict cases, we find evidence of a mediating effect.
