Why Swedes don’t wear face masks (and why it makes sense) – The consequences of institutional trust

Fri, April 16, 9:00 to 10:30am CDT (9:00 to 10:30am CDT), TBA

Brief Overview

Relying on 10,000 respondents, we study the effects of institutional trust on pandemic-relevant behavior in Sweden. We find that higher trust is associated with a lower likelihood of wearing face masks, but a higher likelihood of hand washing.
