Personality and Threat Response: An Examination of Americans’ Immigration Attitudes

Brief Overview

Using 2016 ANES data, I examine how the authoritarian personality battery interacts with three types of threat related to immigration. I find that both high and low authoritarians are affected by symbolic threat, counter to prior research.
