Individuating Immigrants: Can Empathy Overcome the Effects of Negative Group Stereotypes?

Brief Overview

We seek to determine the effects of empathy and stereotypes on support for immigration. We find that negative stereotypes decrease support for immigrants from Latin America and Africa and immigration policy in general.
