Why Party Informal Networks? Party Activist Perspectives on Organizational Structures

Brief Overview

I argue that an informal organizational structure helps parties efficiently retain and coordinate a mostly volunteer and underpaid party activist workforce. My research is based on open response interviews with local and state level party activists.
