Rising Inequality Since 1980: On Whose Watch?

Brief Overview

I investigate whether inequality has risen more slowly under left-wing governments than under right-wing governments since 1980. Using new data on post-redistribution income inequality in 19 Western democracies, I find this not to be the case.
