Exploring the malleability of partisan identification with hypothetical scenarios

Brief Overview

We ask respondents to imagine their partisanship under extreme hypothetical scenarios relating to war, democratic backsliding, gun violence, and the social safety that (at random) cast either Republicans or Democrats as villains in possible futures.
