Governing in the face of a global crisis: when do voters punish and reward incumbent governments?

Brief Overview

No democratic country has been shielded from the challenge posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. We field a conjoint experiment in 18 countries. Individuals are asked to evaluate incumbents on both their economic and public health-related performance.
