The Signaling Properties of Police Violence for White Citizenship

Brief Overview

This paper hypothesizes that police violence against Black individuals may boost confidence in white people’s perceptions of their own citizens' rights. I will investigate this through a web survey administered in two white neighborhoods in Chicago.
