Policy Repositioning and Affective Polarization: A Randomized Experiment

Brief Overview

Using a ten-arm survey experiment and a sample of 4,226, I show that a candidate who repositions on immigration policy can influence affective polarization, including feelings toward the out-party and measures of social distance toward the out-party.
