Pervasive Diversity Versus Mosaic Diversity: How Does the Geographical Distribution of Ethnolinguistic Diversity Impact Development and Governance?

Brief Overview

I theoretically distinguish two types of ethnolinguistic diversity: pervasive vs mosaic. Using a new dataset constructed by census data and large-scale surveys, I find only pervasive diversity is negatively linked to growth and governance in Africa.
