More than a Majority: Campaign Effects and the Diploma Divide in the Failed Effort to Make it Harder to Amend the Ohio Constitution

Brief Overview

We use data from Ohio communities to determine why voters rejected raising the threshold to amend the state constitution. Our results indicate that a Diploma Divide hypothesis does a better job explaining the outcome than a campaign-effects model.
