Sermon Rhetoric and White Evangelical Support for the Republican Party

Brief Overview

I use a random sample of 450 U.S. sermons to show that evangelical Protestant sermons are more likely to consist of threats. I then uses a series of survey experiments to show the effect of these threats on political attitudes and mobilization.
