How Voting Systems Affect the Voter Experience

Brief Overview

We employ two novel online survey experiments to test the effects of alternative voting systems (e.g., ranked choice voting) on voter satisfaction. We theorize and find that as the complexity of a voting method increases, voter satisfaction declines.
