Electing Disabled Candidates: An Observational and Experimental Analysis

Brief Overview

We analyze the disability gap in political representation. In a survey experiment, we show respondents photos of candidates with disabilities and gauge their perception. We explored the electoral success of actual disabled candidates in US elections.
