How Citizens Perceive AI-involvement in Political Discussions on Social Media?

Brief Overview

Using a pre-registered experiment with 2,429 U.S. participants, we find that citizens view political posts written with AI involvement negatively, and penalties are stronger when AI is used by in-group, compared to out-group, members.
