Limited Party Choice and Invalid Voting: Evidence from South Korean Local Elections

Brief Overview

Drawing on precinct-level data from five South Korean local elections (2006–2022), this study shows that invalid voting decreases when ideological alternative parties exist or when both major parties appear on the ballot.
