Liberal White Identity: How Colorblind Orientation Shapes Policy Preferences among Partisans

Brief Overview

We show how the foundations and function of white identity are different across partisanship. Using the MARC equality subscale, we show that equality forms a component of white identity for Democrats, but not for Republicans and Independents.
