Using Conjoint Tasks for Voting Advice Applications

Brief Overview

We develop a new algorithm for voting advice applications (VAA) using conjoint tasks. The method overcomes key challenges in existing VAAs via choice among hypothetical policy packages. We implement the VAA for the 2025 Japanese Upper House Election.
