Where to Place the Flag? Strategic Visibility and Electoral Returns in Istanbul

Brief Overview

We analyze how street-level political flags in Istanbul affect elections. Using computer vision on 748,783 Street View panoramas linked to precinct data and amenities, we test if symbol visibility, density, and clustering predict votes and turnout.
